Signings of New Players
Raunds Band are delighted to announce that the following players have joined us: Bob Wallinger on Horn, Paul Shafi on Soprano, Fiona Harley on Horn and Graham Littleford on horn. This is a great boost for the Band and are very happy to have them on board!
With more players in the pipeline, this is shaping up to be a very exciting time for the Band!
New Musical Director Announced
It is with great pleasure to announce that Raunds Band have appointed Robin Norman as their new Musical Director. Raunds are greatly looking forward to working with Robin and the challenges ahead competing at the Midlands 1st Section area contest in March 2010! Concerts & Engagements
Our next Concert is a Proms Night on 10th October 2009 at The Castle Theatre, Wellinborough.

Players who helped us out over the summer
As the Uni's broke up for the summer, some players returned to Raunds for rehearsals and concerts and some new players arrived!! Well, the summer does not last forever and they have returned to uni for a new year of studying (and the student life!). Raunds would like to thank Danny Smith (Birmingham Conservatoire) and Tuba Phil (Imperial College, London) for their commitment. We hope to see you next summer! We also saw the return of the wonderful Matt Jolley (Royal Music College of Wales) and Greg Mayston (Coventry University), which is always a pleasure!!

One year ago, during an evening in the pub after a concert, Sam and Lynda were sitting in their band uniform when a young man came over to them and asked "Do you play in a Brass Band?". From then on, Mark has been a member of our front row cornet section and has shown much committment. He is also responsible for the Raunds Wesbite getting back up and running!! Mark is now returning to University in York, and the Raunds Band would like to thank him for his tremendous hard work over the last year. Good luck with your studies and you are always welcome back whenever you like!!
Looking to the future of Raunds Temperance Band
Raunds Temperance Band are a 1st Section Northamptonshire based Brass Band who rehearse in Raunds Conservative Club on a Tuesday and Thursday night (every other Thursday in Wellingborough), 8pm- 10pm. We are a passionate and enthusiastic band, wanting the best for the future of Raunds. At present are building up the band to full strength and have a number of exciting things planned.
